Zoe-perry
Perry is daughter to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut on the screen as Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on Roseanne, an ABC show Roseanne. The parents of her did not want her to play an acting career until she was an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry confessed that she wasn't happy in school However, she started acting as a means to meet new individuals during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University, relocated to New York in search of the role on TV. Her small part was in TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness brought her back to California to pursue theater opportunities. She performed on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. She performed with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC film The Family in 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC politics drama Scandal which starred her father. That same year she was asked to play a younger character of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young version of her mother's role. Despite her family link to her character, she got the part through an audition.
